My Savior Left His Throne Above
Jesus, the perfect Son of God, left his throne above to set out on the most extraordinary rescue mission ever to become a human to save humankind.
Because Jesus left his throne on high to rescue me, “I am adopted, loved, and know. All that was necessary for me to be made his own is finished, so all is well.”
God came down to live among sinners so that he could rescue them from death and damnation. Jesus gave his righteous life and merits to me to make me a child of God.
Good and Gracious King
Because Jesus left his throne to rescue and redeem me, I can now approach God’s throne with confidence knowing all is well. I am safe and secure in him forever.
Human hands have nothing to give to God that would make us worthy or deserving of his grace and mercy. Yet, God fills us with everything we need and filled with his Spirit; we can now pour out praises.
I am reminded that Jesus is God, and I am not. God is a good and gracious king who had made me his child and friend. He deserves all glory and honor, and praise.

Jesus was born to do what you and I never could. He came to be our substitute. Jesus was born as a man, lived, died, and rose, so that he could rule all things for the good of his people.
Humans are not capable of saving themselves. We needed someone to come into our world and do “for us” what we could never be able to do for ourselves.
God sent his Son Jesus on the most incredible rescue mission ever so that I might be set free from the power of sin and death and live with him forever as his dear child.

Jesus, who humbled himself to live, die, and rise for the world’s sins, is now exalted as Lord of all.
Sinful human beings needed a rescuer that could do what they never could. We needed someone to serve us with their perfect life and substitutionary death.
“Jesus” is the name above all names because it is the only name that saves us. He is the one who deserves all glory and honor for the great things he has done for us.
