God’s Comforting Promises

The most important promise God gave us was to save us, fulfilled in Jesus. But God’s promises don’t stop there.

From Eden’s fall into sin, God began giving us promises (Genesis 3:15). The most important was his promise to save us, fulfilled in Jesus. But God’s promises don’t stop there.

God didn’t defeat the greatest problems of sin and hell, only to leave us to struggle alone with the rest. As Paul says, “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things” (Romans 8:32).

Through faith, believers enjoy many other wonderful promises which impact our life right now. Thankfully, these promises don’t depend on us. They depend on God and, since he is faithful, you can count on them.

Learn more about God’s comforting promises for you. Stand on them with complete assurance that, through faith in Jesus, you know how the story ends: Heavenly Father promises to walk with us every step of the way until he ultimately welcomes us to live with him forever. “The Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom” (2 Timothy 4:18).
